Did you know that an HST rebate will ensure that, on average, purchasers of new homes up to $400,000 do not pay more tax due to harmonization than is currently embedded as PST in the price of a new home? Purchasers of new homes above $400,000 will be eligible for a rebate of $20,000 (i.e., a rebate on the first $400,000 of value).
